Welcome to Rockwood’s Creative Arts Department, an environment which is energetic, vibrant and inspiring. Expectations are set high, creativity and imagination is encouraged.

We want our students to aim high. They are given the opportunity to explore a range of new skills, develop their ideas and refine their work. The department includes an Art room, Mixed media room and workshop. Equipped with laptops, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, 3D printer, a kiln and an array of materials. Artwork is displayed throughout the school demonstrating the quality of students’ work

We aim to provide our students with a holistic platform addressing current issues related to SMSC within Art, Design and Technology.

Students are encouraged to express their ideas through independent study, creative collaboration with other students and outside providers, practical work and personal reflection.
