We, the Computing and ICT Department, believe the ability to use ICT effectively is an essential life skill in modern society. As ICT is continually developing and new technologies emerging, we as an academy will strive to give all pupils the skills needed to prepare them for the future. The subjects that we offer include GCSE Computing and ICT.
- Allow children to appreciate the relevance of ICT in our society and as an essential tool for learning, communication, finding information, and controlling and understanding their environment
- Help pupils develop their awareness of the contribution that ICT makes to society
- Enable children to develop subject-specific understanding and skills knowledge that is relevant to their lives and careers
- Allow pupils to learn skills that will prepare them for the real world, such as developing a working system for a particular end-user.
